From the first days of the disaster, as the Civil Society Action Network team located in Hatay, we observed that local civil initiatives could respond more quickly and effectively to the ever-changing needs of the local community compared to other institutions. On the other hand, we anticipated that civil initiatives, which are mostly composed of volunteers, needed expert support to reach the systemic response capacity in the areas they operate, and needed resource development to ensure their sustainability. In this context, we aimed to visit civil initiatives throughout June and implement the "Civil Initiative Survey" we prepared. The goal is to disseminate the data we collect to help civil initiatives develop resources and capacity, while also making active civil initiatives aware of each other, bringing them together, and creating common working areas.
