Civil Society Action Network

• The Civil Society Action Network is a civilian initiative initiated by humanitarian workers and individuals with expertise in various fields who have been working in the earthquake-affected area since the early days of the earthquake.
• It aims to provide alternative solutions, local initiatives, and unusual actors to meet the needs using local resources.
• It is an effort to develop a disaster plan that brings unconventional actors to the table, addressing the current devastation, grief, and preparing for the next disaster using local resources.

1. Current approaches to disaster relief are top-down, expensive, and often fail to address the needs of affected communities.
